26 Mar 2020, 1:10 p.m.
On Wednesday 25 March, we announced that due to the global pandemic of COVID-19, the 2020 Vitality Westminster Mile would be postponed until the autumn.
We are currently working with our partners to find an alternative date so please bear with us. In the meantime, please read the below for more information about the 2020 event and what the postponement means for runners.
Q: I have a general entry place, what should I do?
A: Everyone who had a confirmed entry in the 2020 Vitality Westminster Mile on Sunday 24 May will automatically be transferred to run in the rescheduled event in the autumn. If you are unable to run on the rescheduled date, you will be able to choose one of the three following options:
- apply for a full refund of the entry fee you paid
- or opt to donate your entry fee to The London Marathon Charitable Trust
- or rollover your place to the 2021 event at no extra cost.
There is no action that you need to take now. We’ll be in touch with more details by the end of April.
