2020 Vitality Westminster Mile – important update
14 Aug 2020, 11:00 a.m.
The following information was sent to 2020 Vitality Westminster Mile runners on Friday 14 August 2020:
We hope all is well with you.
Since the 2020 Vitality Westminster Mile was postponed in March, we’ve been working hard on a range of options. However, sadly the recent surges in Covid-19 since lockdown was eased mean it’s not possible to stage the run in its usual format this year.
The Vitality Westminster Mile will be back in 2021 and we’ll be in touch next month to ask you if you would like to rollover your entry to 2021 or if you would prefer a full refund of the entry fee you paid.
But you will still have the chance to earn your Vitality Westminster Mile medal as we’re inviting you to run your Vitality Westminster Mile from home or wherever you are during the October half-term period (Saturday 24 October to Sunday 1 November 2020). It’s a great way to have some fun and get active while enjoying the physical and mental health benefits of running.
All you will need to do is go out for your run, then email us a photo of you in action – and your family members if they’re taking part too – and we’ll send you your finisher’s medal. It’s free!
You don’t have to do anything now – we’ll be in touch in September with further details.
