Vitality British Masters One Mile Road Championships
The Vitality British Masters One Mile Road Championships is for runners aged 35 or over and has been organised in cooperation with the British Masters Athletics Federation, which is responsible for the encouragement and organisation of athletics for masters athletes in the UK.
More information on how to enter in 2020 will be available in due course.
If sufficient entries are received, there will be separate races for men and women and results will be ranked into five-year age groups for men and women, offering the opportunity for masters athletes to challenge the best runners in the UK in their age group over the classic mile distance. UKA registration for 2019 is mandatory to be eligible for a BMAF Championship medal and you will need to supply your UKA registration number issued by your national athletics federation (EA/WA/SA/ANI) to enable this to be checked. Race entries will be seeded based on best performance in 2018-2019 for 1 mile or 1500m (road or track).
Medals will be awarded to the first three men and women in each age group and silver salvers for the best three men’s and women’s age-graded performances overall. The presentations will take place in the British Masters Athletics area in the Vitality Wellness Festival in Green Park approximately 30 minutes after the Vitality Masters Mile.
