Final Instructions

Before Race Day

Race Packs

Race Packs are sent in the post to all runners who live in the UK. If you live outside the UK or your pack has not arrived by Saturday 25 May, your Race Pack will be available for collection from the Information Point in Green Park from 08:00–13:30 on Sunday 26 May.

If you need to collect your Race Pack on the day, you must collect it at least 90 minutes before your wave start time.

Your Race Pack contains:

  • Running number and safety pins
  • IPICO Sports Tag with wire twist ties to fix it to your running shoe
  • A multi-use kitbag and baggage label with your baggage number printed on it
  • Wristband displaying your baggage number

Please make sure that you bring all of these items with you on Race Day. If you lose any of these items before the day they can be replaced – you should go to the Information Point in Green Park as soon as you arrive. There is a £10 charge to replace a lost IPICO Sports Tag, which must be paid in cash before a new tag is issued.

Running number

Pin your number to the front of your T-shirt or running vest using the safety pins provided in your Race Pack. Your running number also displays your Start wave number.

Spare safty pins will be available at the Information Point in Green Park on the day.

Do not swap your running number.

You must not use someone else’s number, nor let someone else use yours. Number swapping is strictly prohibited for various reasons, the most important of which is the danger and confusion it can cause in the event of an incident on the course.

In the event of a serious incident, we use your running number to check your details and contact your next of kin and emergency contact.

If your place is being used by someone else, then the emergency services and medical professionals waste valuable time and your action might cause great distress and concern to your closest friends and family.

IPICO Sports Tag

You must fasten the tag provided to one of your running shoes to receive an accurate finish time.

Please do not fix the tag through your shoelaces; if you do we will have to cut your laces to get the tag back at the end of the race.

Deciding not to run

If you decide not to run for any reason, you must return your IPICO Sports Tag. Please use the special freepost envelope enclosed in your Race Pack. All tags that are not returned within 21 days of the event are subject to a £10 lost-tag charge.

Please remember that it is dangerous to your health to run in the event if you have had any sort of virus or fever in the last four weeks. It is equally dangerous to run with an injury – in these circumstances, please do not run.
